Callaway is rolling out a line of X Hot and Pro fairway woods. Combining a Forged Speed Frame Face Cup with the Speed Frame Face to produce superior launch conditions and hotter responses all over the face, the Callaway X Hot Fairway Wood is the most complete performance fairway wood in golf.
With the ball speed leading to distance gain in mind, Callaway has employed its Speed Frame Face Technology to save weight and enhance stiffness and stress distribution across the face for better energy transfer. The updated Warbird sole plate is styled after popular Big Bertha woods of the early 1990s for playability from a variety of lies. Internal weighting pushes mass forward in the head to lower the CG and reduce spin.
We can see X hot line including the Callaway X Hot Irons, drivers and fairway woods are heading up. To further enhance speed and distance, the X Hot Fairway Woods will be available with a lightweight Project X Velocity shaft as the stock offering. The Standard version features slightly longer shafts and more upright lie angles. It does a nice job of reducing sidespin and keeping you in the hunt. Several testers find it to be a real straight shooter.
See this review: "I hadn't shopped for a 3-wood in over 15 years because I loved the old TM V-Steel one I had. But when my son got fit in the Callaway X Hot Driver, thought I would compare the X-Hot 3 against mine. I'm over 50 now and have lost swing speed and a lot of distance the last few years."
Callaway engineers have kept the centre of gravity low to ensure a high ball flight, and the new wave-shaped weighting design inside the head helps to increase the MOI for more forgiveness. In addition to the standard version, golf clubs for sale is also a Pro model on offer and to help enhance distance even further, the woods will be available with a lightweight Project X Velocity shaft as the stock offering.
