Great TaylorMade RocketBallZ fairway wood
I went to my local Pro Shop which also has a driving range to demo the new Taylormade Rocketballz Fairway Wood. I carried my TM Burner Superfast 2.0 3 wood to compare. After hitting a medium bucket of balls, I found the Rocketballz to be the clear winner. I gained almost 10 yards and the ball flew straighter. Even the miss hits did ok. I pre-ordered the 3 wood HL. Can't wait to get it in the bag. I also tried the Driver and it was good but I prefer my R11. I have played "old" Ping TiSi Tec fairway woods for years and still cannot find any woods that perform better than the old Ping TiSis. All the current marketing convinced me that the new Taylormade Rocketballz clubs should be what I need. For me, a great disappointment. Bought the 3 wood and find it very difficult to hit off the fairway. Normally, I play a high slight draw and with this club the ball stays very low and slides from left to right. I know some have indicated great results, but, not for me. Should have demo'd before purchasing.
